About Us - Miles Photography

We are a husband and wife team who enjoy anything and everything photography related. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and high quality images at a low cost. Our photography styles vary from one another which relates to a wider range of shots you will receive.

When we aren't behind a camera you might find us on the lake, enjoying the scenery and restaurants around town, at a Chuckanut Sports Car Club event, or out searching for those amazing photographic situations.

You might be looking at our website, our prices, and our photo styles and asking what the catch is. The catch is that we believe great photography can and should be attained at reasonable prices. When we, Thomas and Kristin, were planning our own wedding we had a wide variety of photographers to choose from. We were surprised at the varying costs, point of views, styles, availability, turn-around time, and anything else photographer related that could be varied. One thing that stood out to us was that many of the photographers were treating us and our wedding as an event to create their art rather than trying to understand what we wanted. This is what drives us still today.

When we started to meet with potential clients we wanted to make sure we kept the best interest of the clients at heart. If they wanted to see one another we would suggest a "first look." If being traditional in the sense of not seeing one another was important to them, then it was to us as well. On your special day our outlook continues. Part of our commitment to you is to act professionally, dress appropriately, be on time, and always make sure our equipment is ready for the day. We always strive to capture those great moments - and do so without staging the photo.

Perfect posture posed in front of a Muslin cloth just doesn't seem natural. Everyone looks their best when feeling comfortable, with only the occasional direction. Similar to wedding photography, a true image presents itself naturally. For engagements, families, and seniors we like to incorporate anything "life" related into their surroundings; we suggest bringing props in addition to those usually seen. These props can vary from different articles of clothing to vehicles.
